The Black Russian Terrier (or BRT) also referred to as Blackie, Tchiorny Terrier, is a new breed to North America and not much is known about this breed.
The Black Russian Terrier is a large robust dog developed by the Russian Military to guard their military bases and installations. The Black Russian Terriers by nature are very confident, intelligent, calm and loyal dogs. They will defend and guard their owners if threatened. They need companionship and will bond to their owners for life. As they are dominant dogs, their owners must be experienced in being the Alpha or experienced in handling similar dogs. Black Russian Terriers are classified in the Working Group of the American Kennel Club (AKC), Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) and are listed as Tchiorny Terriers under Group #2 of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI).
Owners of Black Russian Terriers are so much in love with their dogs that it is not unusual for owners to have more than one BRT.

Iz Teremka Kennel is dedicated to the breeding of Black Russian Terriers by developing and preserving the best qualities of the old working Siberian Black Russian Terrier bloodlines.
Our kennel has a close working relationship with Kalinka Kennels whose owner is the founder of the Black Russian Terrier population in Canada.
Iz Teremka's objective is to produce healthy dogs with excellent confirmation postural attributes and solid self confident temperament. Our bitches are kept in good condition and are breed according to our veterinary guidelines.
As Black Russia Terrier Breeders, our foundation stock comprises of one male - Taras, and two females - Dasha and Groosha. Our dogs are members of our family and as such they live in the house with us and receive as much socialization as possible. They all attend obedience training and participate with activites with other dogs.
Our Black Russian Terrier puppies are American Kennel Club (AKC) and Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) registered, microchipped, up to date vaccinated. A health guarantee comes with each puppy purchased. At selected times we do have Black Russian Terrier puppies for sale.
Our Kennel is located where the St. Lawrence River opens into the north-east shores of Lake Ontario, Canada in the beautiful limestone city of Kingston , Ontario. Kingston is located at the half point between Canada's two largest cities Toronto and Montreal. For our good friends in the United States, we can be reached by Interstate 81 via Watertown New York.
